Breathe, Device For Growing Your Plants Without Soil

Breathe is innovative garden concept that will do almost impossible: Grow the plants without a soil. With Breathe you don’t need to deal with soil and water because this system feeds a plant with all necessary nutrients through their roots, all you need to do is to watch the plant how it grows. There is one plug which provides energy that is used for pumping the water into this device. There is also backup battery to provide energy during the eventual power outage.

This thing could be really useful in schools for biology lessons. It enables you to watch processes that are part of plant’s growth and which are not visible in traditional plant cultivation where people use a soil, you can see everything what usually happens under ground and that might be pretty exciting for biology students.

hmmm… roots generally require darkness. Algae really likes the light. The roots on the lettuce are in a horrible state – they should be a nice shade of white. Brown indicates poor health and growing conditions… very cool concept though.
